    Modifcation Notices After Discharge?

    We were just discharged.
In the last two days we have had very official looking letters offering reductions in debt and loan modifications on our home that we surrendered.
They don't say that's what they are for but the amounts of $ reflected are the CC and home debt. No companies are mentioned but the $ amounts are correct. In fact the home was sold in December of last year!
Of interest, they are addressed only to my wife. I guess I have something out there in the files that does not merit sending this stuff to me~~good!
I guess they are getting $ amounts from credit reports or maybe Pacer.
It seems strange that these things are coming now. We never got them before.
Anybody else getting this strange stuff?

We get them all the time. It almost looks like a tax document. The mortgage companies will buy a list (sometimes they are more that 1 year old) and send the list to a mailing company who will put all the data into one of those official looking letters. It costs more to scrub the list for bankruptcy and credit reports. Usually companies will just buy the name and the dollar value.
