Where do I get a copy of disharge papers?

When my boyfriend filed for bankruptcy, it was done through a lawyer who was a family friend and unfortunately he did not keep the discharge files. Where do we need to go to get these? We're trying to get a house and they need these.
    Thanks

You did not say what state you were in.
Check with your local bankruptcy court in the state it was filed in and they should have a copy on record. Am not sure what they'll charge you for it though. You might ask.

If its a recent bankruptcy you can still find it on PACER and can print off a copy of it @ $.08 a sheet.

Since you need the whole packet, best go thru the court to get it, would be easier.

NOTE - These are papers that he needs to put with his deeds, bonds, etc. They are very important and will be in the future..
