About to receive Social Security, and not filing for BK

hi guys, long time no see.

so i'm about to receive social security benefits about 400 per month, but i don't plan to file for bankruptcy yet.

currently at my job , my wage is being garnished about 160 per month, i make about 1200 per month.

i am curious when i retire and receive my social security checks, will they garnish it too?

I don't think SS can be garnished.

No one can touch your social security except the IRS if you owe back taxes. i believe the maximum they can take is 15% and perhaps that is after a minimum amount.

They can get into your bank account. Watch your direct deposits, etc. Obama is trying to change this, but not yet.
