    bankruptcy and co-signer on lease

I am a bit concerned about how the trustee may view this situation. In our district the trustee wants to see a copy of a lease if you are renting. When I provide it it will show another party co-signed with me.

I have paid all the rents and have checks to show this. The person that co-signed is living with me but I pay the rent and all the debts and monthly expenses I listed have all been paid by me and I have cancelled checks to show this.

    Am I in trouble?

    Thanks

You should be fine, My atty. wanted to split all of the expenses down the middle for my wife and I. I explained that was not how we payed our expenses and that our checkbooks would not support that. We keep/kept our money totally separate and each is responsible for certain things. When I explained that is what oour checkbooks would show, then it was fine to list that way.
The only problem that you may have is if the co-signer lives with you and contributes to your living expenses. All in all, however, if your checking acct. shows something and that is how you do it, that is how you should report it.
