Just had our 341...what a breeze!!

We had our 341 on friday...we were in front of the trustee for 1-2 minutes max. There were people lined up outside the building and they told us on average it was taking about a minute per person with the trustee. We were only asked to verify our name, our address, if we expected a tax refund or inheritance and if we had read our petition(Chapter 7). He asked if there were any creditors present, none. He only asked us how we got the value of our timeshare and then he said he wasn't interested in it(darn!) and told us good luck and have a good day. Hope this helps anybody fretting over an upcoming 341.

Hopefully for the people filing bankruptcy recently, theirs will be that quick and painless. Maybe the trustees etc. hve enough to do about the new stuff not to bother with others.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

So, if you didn't have any problems at the 341, and they tell you it will be a no asset case, does that mean that it's going to be discharged unless a creditor objects in the next 60 days? What can happen during that waiting period?

Postings such as this, will help those who have yet to appear in showing that it's not as fearful as one might imagine.
