My Chapter 7 is showing up on my fathers' credit?! Who's to blame

Well, went to court about two weeks ago for my chapter 7.
Find out today from my father, who was trying to obtain some sort of loan, that my chapter 7 is showing up on his credit. What!!??
He is pretty P'oed. And rightfully so. My question is, who screwed up? The attorney or the court? Just would like to know before I start beratting my lawyer.
Some info that might have led to the error
We share the same first and last name.
Although my SS# and birthdate and Middle initial are correct on my petition.
We also share the same residence.
    He owns , I don't.
Anybody ever heard of anything like this before?
How do I clear this up?
    Help...

Has your father co-signed for any of your loans? Do you two have any joint accounts?
The information provided is not, and should not be considered legal advice. All information provided is only informational and should be verified by a law practioner whenever possible. When confronted with legal issues contact an experienced attorney in your state who specializes in the area of law most directly called into question by your particular situation.

Errors on credit reports are common, and when two people, like father and son, have the same first and last name, errors are even more common. Tough to say who's to blame. Your father will have to formally dispute the information as not his.

No. Never co-signed a loan for me.
        We never had joint-bank accounts.
        ever actually.
Anyone know how long before his credit is back in shape?
He really had good/great credit rating, is this reversible?

He should be able to successfully dispute the entry, and I think 30 days is the general time frame. He may need to send something showing that the SS# & DOB for the petition (yours) do not match his info.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
