Did any of your creditors fail to file a proof of Claim? What happened?

Nope.
I think this mainly applies to ch 13 & asset ch 7 cases.Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision. -
None, yet... If there's no assets, and it's dischargeable, they won't bother.I'm in N. California ... Thanks for your replies!

10/14/05: Filed Ch 7 BK Petition pro se skeleton
10/27/05: Filed all schedules, etc.
11/17/05: 341 meeting (done!)
01/16/06: Last day to file objections
01/18/06: Discharged, closed

As I understand, the trustee can file for them but if neither of them file...they get nothing.Comment

I had my 341 meeting Oct 19th .. I did recieve a proof of claim on my water bill . My attorney's assisitant said "not to worry about it " They will call if there is a problem.. So I am not worrying .. Should I ? It was for 500.00 total bill.. I had a leak while out of state was all I could of thought . it was in Florida.. We are just waiting for Dec 19th .....60 days...DISCHARGED Case CLOSED = 01/03/2006
