The real reason why the laws changed.

Can Toni fail the means test?

Lightning, you're welcome to do your thing here. This is not a typical case like the ones you normally pick on.

On the petition for Toni Braxton-$570,000+ for on overdraft on a checking account. I'm assuming her personal assistant is getting paid from another account?
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

          ----INTERSTING----

(Staci - personal assistant is probably getting paid from the petty cash fund or under the table.)

I also noticed that Toni didn't have a water bill either.
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

The phone bill and clothing would probably be ok if it was business related, but rediculas if it's personal. The mortgage is much too high! I wonder why Toni didn't take care of the "important stuff" such as life insurance? It seems more important then the Porche payments. Regarding food she probably eats for free and doesn't tip either like most celebrities.

For those of you upset by the new laws and with all the media coverage claiming that "it kicks the working class and poor while they are down and out". I strongly feel that it was changed to prevent cr@p like this.

There's plenty more like this and NONE of these people deserve a chapter 7 discharge until they exaust all other means.

Maybe she only takes a bath/shower when staying at hotels? That could explain the lack of food bill also, and maybe why so many people in Hollywood and on Music Row end up with eating disorders... Maybe its not about image & weight. Maybe they just can't afford to buy food?

                I agree...

The one area I've thought of that isn't covered-appreciation on homes. I know they adjusted it so that you can't be a new resident of a state and take advantage of an unlimited homestead exemption, but there are some markets where home appraisals have shot up in the past few years. If someone bought a house for $200,000 and its now worth $400,000, and they have to move, they are NOT going to be able to find something else for the $125,000 maximum exemption. Perhaps a % increase on the purchase price per year as a limit? (So that if you bought a $200,000 home 3 years ago, at 10% max per year, the max value would be $266,200. That is still a significant increase, but not as outrageous.)

were both these bankruptcys granted? Insane! Her expense list seems very poorly put together with the omission of some relevant categories, yet I'm sure she had a very expensive attorney put it together. wow.

I don't know. The website didn't post the final paperwork. I considered looking it up on Pacer, but didn't want to pay for it...

Good idea, but he would probably charge a fee (higher than Pacer's) to share it.
