I went to the creditors meeting today and the trustee asked me for two months of bank statements. I guess I am worried that there are several casino withdrawals on those statements. What are they really looking for on these bank statements? Can those activities hurt my case? Thanks in advance.

They look for deposits to make sure all of your income has been declared, and any large withdrawals that don't match up to your bills (to make sure you aren't hiding assets). The trustees have seen casino withdrawals before, don't sweat it.Filed Chapter 13 02/2006 - Confirmed 05/2006 - Discharged 09/2011

They hate gambling
They ask about it when they send out their questionnaires (The US Trustee does anyway)Originally posted by franky83202 View PostI went to the creditors meeting today and the trustee asked me for two months of bank statements. When we filed, it was my gamblling habit that made me wait so long. I was worried about the same thing. No need, I had 4 withdrawls in 2 weeks at the casino before we filed.
No one even mentioned it.. not a word.
Thankfully, I am over that period in my life, and my bk was truly a fresh start.Filing cpt.7 11/09

Report of no distribution 1/21/10
Scheduled for discharge 3/22/10 (on my 15th wedding anniversary!)
