    secured verses unsecured

When I start trying to rebuild my credit after 2/18/06(discharge), if I can not qualify for an unsecured credit card, are there any secured credit cards that I can get that report as unsecured to the CRA's? or does it matter if they report secured or unsecured?

It doesn't really matter for credit scoring. It could matter for someone who manually reviews your credit report for a credit decision.

My theory is to first research to see if you can get a decent fee, unsecured card. If not, then move on to finding a secured card that would have the option at some point (with good history of course) to convert to an unsecured card. Whatever you open right after BK, you should plan on having for a LONG time-as having older accounts helps w/ credit scoring.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
