As Bush signed the bill into law, he said, "By restoring integrity to the bankruptcy process, this law will make our financial system stronger and better. By making the system fairer for creditors and debtors, we will ensure that more Americans can get access to affordable credit."


did he read the damn thing before he signed it? im struggling to see where the section that made it fairer for creditors went into law?

was that section dropped into the trash after he said those words?

"we will ensure that more Americans can get access to affordable credit."

what? i want that one explained to me. how many more americans are there that dont have enough credit?

so we are going to see affordable credit sometime soon?

you think they are going to reduce the rate for us?

if you wanted to stop all the bankruptcies then all you would have to do is sign into law that they are only allowed from 5% to 7% of verified income in credit card limits, max - reviewed yearly. do we really need more then that? no.

but they wont do this simple, obvious and easy law because they would loose their ass in business and would flop. bu tthem passing it off as better for both sides is nothing short of fraud itself.

Bush singled out two provisions of the new law he said would be good for the consumer and good for the country. One requires credit card companies to tell consumers "upfront" what interest rates and penalties will be if they are late in making a payment. He also praised the section of the new law that will make a debtor wait eight years before again filing for bankruptcy, saying this will decrease the number of "serial abusers."

roflmao, what? ok so out of 25 major changes all i get to benefit me is what i already knew ahead of time for the past 20 years anyways? lol

also, i think they are going to help us by showing what we will owe if we keep making minimum payments.

ok so i get to see on my statement what my payments will be AFTER i charged the bejesus out of my credit card. now that sounds smart. also, where are they gonna hide that tiny little comment - onthe advertisements page?

by the way, none of this has to do with Bush personally. i believe any president would have done it this way. they are all connected to wealth.
