    Disabled veteran compensation

I am a disabled veteran in michigan and receive a monthly compensation check. Is this income exempt or does this count towards my total income?

Everything I've read here since Nov. and heard from the lawyers I've interviewed--is that it IS counted in your income.

It is counted in your income towards your total income for the means test, however it is exempted against any garnishment or levy. Only IRS of course, could get at it. 'Hub
