Need new auto/home insurance. Any suggestions?

After almost a year into our 13, USAA has decided that we technically still "owe the USAA bank" because we haven't been discharged and therefore they can't change our policy (we're moving to another state).

I would try a broker. They will know who checks credit and who doesn't. Save yourself the headache.

Try Progressive. I've gotten both car and house insurance from them regardless of horrible credit (never submitted my SSN so I really don't know how far they've checked...?) some serious claims in the past, and have been beyond pleased this far. YMMV.
