    Girl Scout Bank Account

I've posted on here before and you guys were great with your answers we will be filing chapter 13 as soon as I pay off my need $2,000 deposit which should be around the holidays (great huh). My question now is I am my 10 year daughter;s girl scout leader, and therefore co-signer on the Troop bank account. We (my husband and I have no credit or loans with this bank) the troop account has over $900.00 in it. How will this account be affected in our bankruptcy. I'd not have to tell our local council that we are claiming bankruptcy, if I don't have to. Thanks in advance for any info.

My wife is also our daughters troop leader and we questioned the troop checking account to our lawyer prior to filing. According to him, being the money is not hers, it is not an asset.

It's very similar if you compared it to if you were in the accounts payable department of a business. You could very well sign the checks of the business, that doesn't mean it's your money.

The only difference between our case and yours is ours was a chapter 7.
    Chapter 7 filed December 11, 2009, 341 Meeting held on January 7, 2010
Deadline to File a Complaint: March 8, 2010

Discharged and Closed March 11, 2010
