    Still not over...need help

We filed chapter 7 in Oct 2010

I own a franchise business and is one of the reasons we had to file

At the time of filing, I owed 5k in back royalties, I decided that if I restructured with a bk, i can still make this business work - rather then throwing that in and closing in oct (which I still had customer commitments that needed to be honored, and ethically, I couldn't close business at that time).

Our Chap 7 is now final - May 2011, and we where discharged as no asset case

I'm closing my business for sure!

the franchise is chasing us for the back royalties - our lawyer told us they can't come after us because this was debt that we incurred before the filing

BUT.... I may have made a HUGE mistake!

I signed a promissory note in March 2011 to keep the business from being 'forclosed'

is this promissory note going to hurt me and require me to pay the term of it?

thanks for advice - i want to so move on

This signed agreement was after you filed for your chapter 7 bk, so this agreement is valid and enforceable.
