I want to thank you all for your advise. We took them into consideration and have decided to stay away from renting our house....not worth the risk....and it does not feel like the right thing to do. So...... my next question is what does one do if you have been discharged, did not reaffirm, want to move on with your life and move closer to family and friends and the bank has not even begun to foreclose on the property? What are our options with the lender? Is a short sale possible?
I would really appreciate any information regarding our situation.
Thanks
You can just move out, leave the house empty, and move on. Stay until foreclosed on if you want free rent, move if you don't.
