Medical payments

Hi,

I am thinking we will be filing in the next month or two. I work at a hospital that I had surgery at and have a balance I've been paying on of about $1,300. I do not want that to be included in the bankruptcy - can I leave that out? If I stop paying my other payments I could pay it off before we file, but wouldn't that be a preferred payment???

I really don't want to file against my employer.

I think you have to include ALL debts, including your surgery. It's up to you if you want to voluntarily continue paying back the debt post BK, but you still need to indicate that a debt is owed regardless.
