Notice of Appearances filed by cc companies after filing bk???

Okay...I've been discharged but not closed; waiting on IRS refund to send to FL trustee.

FIRST: Just got a letter from a bill collector re: medical bill from August. I filed in Oct. Called that collector, gave my case #...he was very snotty as I was getting my info together that he requested as to my case #...(had to pull it up online..dadadad)..so gave # and he said...that's all I needed...and that was that...so

Apparently these collectors do not have a clue or have done their research...as in do they not look me up in that worldwide "bad credit person" site??? LOL

2nd...I have two notices to appear that were filed by cc companies...asking that they receive any/all paperwork re my case...anyone else have this coming up on pacer after receiving a discharge?

They really don't ever let go do they?

Any bill collector that contacts you just give them the case number etc.... and tell them to have a nice day!!!

The notice to appear - means that during your bankruptcy process, certain creditors wanted to be notified of ANYTHING that the Trustee might find (assets) regarding your case..... It's their way of telling the Trustee THEY WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING he finds...... 1st.

If they were discharged in the bankruptcy, you are thru with them.

UNLESS, you are summonsed to appear in Court on an Adversary Complaint.... which you don't mention as being filed. (you would know)

If your case is discharged, but still open and you get a summons (which is unlikely) you may have to appear in court. But this would a very rare situation).....

    Keep me posted

Did you file pro se? or attorney?
If attorney you would have been notified about any other legal problems regarding your case. And if pro se - the creditor should have notified you thru a Court petition......

I am understanding that this took place AFTER DISCHARGE????

Haven't seen any of those other notices you mentioned...just the ones to appear...

I filed with an attorney...well worth it for all of my shenanigans....just waiting for the refund check to appear so I can forward it to the trustee.
