Oh the irony

First of all, I haven't been posting in awhile, all is going well in our chapter 13. I just had to share the ironic letter I received in the mail yesterday. It was from GMAC our servicer on our heloc. It stated, that "this is not an attempt to collect..blah blah, but we are letting you know that gmac is in the process of filing chapter 11 bankruptcy. LOL.

Just got the same letter my self. My mortgage is serviced by GMAC.

I did too. So if they succeed and their debts get wiped out.....do I still have to pay them for my portion of their debt that they do not owe anymore. J/K...but it WOULD be nice. LOL

Same here. Had a GMAC card we claimed as well as a second mortgage through them we are paying outside the plan.

This is my point exactly, happens all the time and no one blinks an eye. They will file then go about business as usual, a business decisions and nothing more. Amazing....
