There is a working download of BK software for lawyers that steps through the forms, but just puts demo all over it when you print it out. It's about 25 MB. I went through the means test and a few other areas last night and it was really neat and kept a total showing you how much monthly you were over and suggestions of things to double check.

Might be worth a look to play with.

There's a 16 page tutorial with the first few pages being how to download and install the program. It will walk you through the means test with your state figures, help you develop a Ch 13 plan with prioritizing the creditors, you never have to enter a creditor twice since it makes a common list to be used between schedules, can convert the documents between chapters, etc.

Looks like a good one where you could work it all out in there and then copy the info to your own forms afterwards. (Especially for the people with the guts enough to file pro se.)

I did exactly that. I used this software to do my forms, then just copied everything to other forms that didn't say DEMO across them. It made filing pro-se MUCH easier than it is for many others I'm sure.

Isn't that software friggin awesome!!! Sure makes you realize how these BK mill lawyers do high volume. They subscribe to extra services which allows a direct import of your credit report addresses--NO TYPING, just verification. All the exemptions for each state are in there! They can directly get tax transcripts and property valuations.

Makes me want to buy a copy and become a BK paper preparer. ;)
