    i just discovered this website and i believe it will be a blessing.
    i was discharged nov 2005 i work intermittently for the gov and have been since oct 2005 i am also a student getting an assoc degree in accounting
    i currently rent which has me living paycheck to paycheck and i have one cc with orchard i would like advice about purchasing a home and car under these circumstances is it possible?

    You will need to be out of bankruptcy at least 1 year or longer (probably 2) before you will get a decent mortgage rate from anybody.......

    So between now and then,

    1. Check that credit report and dispute any descrepencies....
    2. Start saving a downpayment, little accounts do grow!!
    3. Check with FHA and all the locals that handle real estate and see what
    you need to have before you can get a home financed....
    4. May sure you make all rent, utitilities and bill payments on time -
    No late payments.....

    Yes buying a home is possible, it will be easier than you think and very soon, so get your prepared...........
