This may sound like a very stupid question but what are some reasons that creditors object to the discharge? Has this happened to anyone and for what reason? I have my 341 next week and I'm vey nervous. Sould I be more afraid of the trustee or the creditors objections?

If your credit is someone like Best Buy and you purchased a major appliance on it recently, they would want to be paid or get the appliance back (they have different terms than regular credit cards.) If there are any inconsistencies in your paperwork such as expenses that seem too high that you can't explain and show proof of.

No. I have an attorney. He has not mentioned anything but A Purchase Money Security Interest on flooring that I purchased. The company gave me three choices 1. pay upfront 2. make payments with a high interest rate and
3. surrender the flooring. Since I do not have any money, I can't pay upfront. I also can't afford to pay that kind of interest so I think that i'm going to surrender the merchandise to them and hope that they don't pay anyone to come and get it. I'm just a little afraid to be confronted by them at the 341 meeting.

I forgot about your post about surrendering the flooring. I think it would be hilarious to tell them to come tear it up and pick it up! It's not like much will be useful after that.(Although not funny to you!)
Get to the 341 meeting a little ahead of time so you can see a few cases before you so you can try to relax.
Take a look at this post to know what questions to expect:

If a creditor has reason(s) to believe you are hiding assets, they may object. It rarely happens because they would spend a lot of money trying to find out and prove what you are "hiding."
Also, if they believe that you had no intention of paying back what was charged or used as cash advance, they would possibly object. Again, it can be difficult to prove.Filed: 3/7/06
