    Probably another no-brainer

Ok I have to ask this. I receive child support for 1 of my children. Is there anyway the trustee can keep this? I have looked everywhere and cant find the answer. There is no exemption for VA for child support and I noticed that other states have do. This has made me a little nervous.

    Someone please help. Thanks,

Child support is considered part of your income...... and will be treated as such....

Then your total income vs your expenses determines where you stand on the means test and if you have disposable income.......

Often if you are over the limit on the means test yes you will be paying it out to the creditors in a Chapter 13.....most of the time....

And yes some states do not have exemptions for child support.......

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
