With my 1997 bankrutptcy I haven't thought about borrowing money at the bank. Now that I'm interesed in buying a new car, should I talk to the bank about a loan or finance it at the dealership? I don't know which would be best. Help!!
Have you taken a look at your Credit Reports and worked on cleaning up any reporting errors there?
If you haven't,.......... Start with the Credit Reports first. Address any reporting errors and get those straightened out first. Maybe your scores will go up. But at least you won't run into the "We've run into a problem with your Credit" lines from potential lenders.
Try calling around some of the Dealerships. Get the name of their Finance Person. Then chat with that guy or gal in person. See what Dealers may be able to do for you.
Speak directly with a Lending Officer at your local Banks or Credit Unions.
Try Capital One Blank Check. Many people here have had good success with them.
Others have gone to Lending Tree.com and Road Loans.com
