reaffirmation on 4 month old car loan

Hi everyone im new here. im filing a chapter 7 pro se and have been doing quite a bit of research, but im not finding the answer to my question. We have old debt from 07 that we are filing on due to a job loss. We do not have any new debt except for a 06 car we bought 4 months ago. It is our only car and were up to date on payments and want to keep it. So how do i go about reaffirmation? do i call the lender? or will they contact me after they receive notice from the court that were filing? or do i fill out the proper papers and file them with the petition? also i know the lender can deny and repo the car if they want to, but would that be in there best interst since were still wanting to make payments and we put a 7000 down payment on it from a retirment account. plus its not dischargeable bc its not a very old loan. maybe they would would work with us? any help would be appreciated.

Find out if the lender will allow you to ride and pay? You don't reaff, but you don't stop paying and they don't repo. That way, if you have a problem in the future and they do take the car the debt is already discharged, you're not liable. If you must reaff, then you can either contact the lender (I did) or you can file and let the paperwork do the talking by indicating that you intend to reaffirm on the SOI.

Worried about one thing though, and hope somebody else will answer this-How is their 7K withdrawal 4 months ago likely to be viewed buytrustee, or is it ok?
