I've had a few different consultations and they've played out very different from one another. Can some of you please let me know what a typical consultation is like with a good attorney?
1) Lawyer pushed for chapter 13 and did means test in the consultation and said 13 is my best bet, tried to get me to file that week.
2) Did a means test and said I'd qualify for a chapter 7 and wanted the money upfront to get the ball rolling.
3) Oddly enough the guy that has me the most intrigued didn't say 13 or 7, only that he'd try to get me a 7 but if he couldn't we would then have to go 13 if I wanted to do bk. He also gave me the max 13 payment I would have but said the means test cannot be accurately assessed in a single consultation. This guy has me seriously questioning the other two now.
I have 4 more appointments in the next 2 weeks before I make my decision.
