    sarasota film fest update

    we have sold out the conversation series, with ed norton. I am now very glad I have a ticket! boy could I really scalp it...but, I really want to go to that event...

    I will be working the party where he receives his humanitarian award for his work in new orleans.

    we are looking forward to a fine festival. got my first paycheck yesterday. that was so cool....

    I am very happy. went to my dead.net event in tampa, my xhusband's band played sat. night at skippers & to my surprise, he was up on the stage...flew in from arizona & even played my favorite, ladywithafan/terrapin....we left early as dui checkpoints were in place....I had the best time in 2 hours Ive had in years....

    Sounds like you had a great night out and probably a well deserved one.....

    Nice to stay friends with ex - but do yourself favor and don't stir up old emotions too much....... usually the past is better off left "staying the past".... seldom works out the second time around...... too much water under the bridge..... But do stay on the "friends side", especially if you have kids together... Makes life a lot easier!!!!!

    Sometime this summer I'm going to "take a vacation"....... a well deserved one I might add...... haven't had one in almost 10 years..... between caring for invalid parent and bankruptcy (money shortage)....... Sooooooo, I'm really looking forward to "getting away" and RELAXING MY MIND AND SOUL..... for a few days..... too......

      I went with an old friend, ran into friends I hadn't seen in almost 10 years...

      My xhusband & I were together 15 years & married for 12...we have two sons together, one 9 and one 11. He married his nurse who he got pregnant 3x before we were divorced...that was back in 1999...two abortions and two children later...we all get along...hasn't been an easy road....they put up guards at the hospital when I came to visit the 1st child...it was "here comes Dr. xxxx's wife..." watch out....just adds to the drugs & rocknroll of my eventual movie.

      ......the film festival is an open door for me to mix, mingle & meet someone who will take an interest in my film project...and I just meet so many terrific people...that's the coolest!

      Take a vaca, Ms. Minnie...I get my first 2 weeks ever (that I actually earned by working a job) and one of them will be in tucson w/my sons...hopefully the other, Key West/cozumel....!!!!!

      Season's about over down here & we can't wait for the summer!

        Yep, some of us those "vacations" have been well earned and will be thoroughly enjoyed.

        It does the body and soul good to get away from it all once in a while..... infact, your even glad to head back home towards the end and get on with life.....

        If we could only take our vacations and "not worry about what needs to be done when we get back to reality"............ would make a vacation so much better..........lol......
