    Cars, Gas & concerts

I was off early Friday from work and went to test drive a 2001 Toyota Celica...

1st issue...It sounded like I was in an airplane taking off with a load of sandpaper...road noise was incredible.

2nd issue...I could not see out the rear window & I'm a total paralell parker...I don't think the rearview mirrors would work for me...

I am glad I went for the test drive and even though I thought it was such a cool car, after driving it, I am sticking with the 4Runner...Guess I'll just bite the bullet for awhile, get the rotors turned (see if they don't push brakes on me...maybe the oxygen sensor problem ...)

Gas in Sarasota was 3.20/gal on Saturday...I was going up to Tampa for the Roger Waters showark Side of the Moon and I did find gas, outside in Palmetto for $3.05...you know I filled it up as much as I could pump!

    Hi

Thumbs up on the Dark side of the moon show. Let us know how that was. How far is Tampa from Sarasota? Gas here in Joisey is running around $2.89-$2.99 a gallon. Over in Philly its over $3.00. As a result we havent gone to far fom home in a long while. Its killing me as Ive wanted to go with a group thats going to Hershey Park (3hours) to see Daughtry, Nickelback and a whole group of great bands playing. The perils of the poor life. Tickets alone into the park are a joke, let alone someone in BR. I have a feeling this summer will be duller than doo doo. Lots of sitting in the garden with the sand toys and mosquitos.
Celicas are cool cars but man do they crunch up in an accident. My nephew has his totaled after four weeks by a simple rear ender. I adore Toyota products too. We have a '05 Camry LE and its the best, most reliable transpo. Before that we had a '02 Corolla we had totaled by a speeding lunatic. That car was awesome for gas milage. I'd buy another Corolla in a heartbeat. (If I had $$$, haha!!) My dream car is a green or black Prius with a sunroof and GPS.
    Oh dreaming....

I had some xtra $ and felt that it was time to do something for myself! Nothing better than Roger Waters! All I can say is WOW! I have some great video on the camera phone of the pig sailing across the audience...fun!
