I am not disputing the similiarities of the two major parties - although this year there are striking differences if you'd just study the issues. That is sad, but it will not change - the power and money is in the Media, the Banks, and the Washington lobbyists. No one in Washington can win an election in this country without their approval and support. Just the way it is - for now. Your choice is to not participate - and be completely neutered, or try to pick the best candidate that is allowed to run by AIPAC. McCain is still their choice, but Obama is coming around, or so they think.

How would I know? My guess is that until 1985 he was either agnostic or atheist. His mother was an atheist, and his step-father, who only had a 4 year influence on him up to age 10 was described as a "weak muslim", like the christians that only attend church twice a year on easter and christmas. There is not much information on his maternal grandmother, who actually raised him in his most teenage formative years. Once he started college he was like many college kids who start thinking for themselves. And he probably thought religion was for the weak, stupid and childish. Same as Einstein has written. He joined that Trinity United Church of Christ in 1985 because it was the Chicago ghetto church where he was working as community organizer. If your clients are religious, you'd better claim to be also, if you want to have them trust you.

Now I'd love it if he'd just run as an atheist today, but given the religious fanatacism that is America, he'd be lucky to get 2% of the vote. All politicians must claim a deep faith in God (christ, even Hillary, ha ha), and whoever else will bring them the votes to win. Just practical reality.

The challenges for McCain:

Age: At 72, he would be the oldest man ever to become President (Ronald Reagan was 68 when he took office). McCain is in robust health, though apparently at risk of melanoma skin cancer. But his age is a concern. Obama aides have already implied he has "lost his bearings" on certain key issues.

McCain does not know what is going on. not because of his age but because something is missing upstairs. I dont see how he can even be out there in Az. period as a politician.
