    Emails vs. regular mail.

Do e-mails have the same legal standing in court as a regular letter which contain the creditors' or collection agencies' full name, business address, phone #?
Just wondering - I automatically delete all emails from people, outfits that I don't know or don't do any business with.

I would have to say it does not carry the same weight, my only example would be the same reason ebay does not accept emails as proof of anything - because they can be easily faked. Now if the courts subpoena the email server and get original copies that may be a different story.

I have emails saved back from the last century.
