    Is it spring yet??!?!

This house has had a rough winter. We were all set to file tomorrow but had to reschedule for next Tuesday due to 2 of my sons coming down with yet another virus and another one with pink eye. Everyone will be staying home from school tomorrow. I was so psyched to finally be able to file and now we have to wait another week- what are you gonna do? At least our high medical expenses will be completely legit!

Spring really cant come fast enough- I am so sick of all this crud going around.

Where I live they call 39 degress warm. Every year it is always the same...spring summer fall, winter winter winter winter. We get JUne, July, August & September those 4 months where you can most likely count on nice weather while the other 8 months you might get 80 degrees & sun or you might get -20 degrees & 3 feet of snow with absolutely no guarantee- a whole lot like life.

I know what pinkeye is like. That is not a fun thing & can get real bad but glad you caught it.

Hey, this morning it was a mild -5 and I think the weekend low will be below zero (again).
      Is it Spring yet? SIGH?

BTDT with the long winters. Then I moved.

It's been about 70 where I live. I'm planning my spring garden now. You guys could always move out to the West coast....

I'm in sunny FL, coming from IN. I am still astonished everyday of how much the sun shines here! Grew up in IN where the winters are long and gray....not sure why it took me so long to move away from that....

So being in either the west coast or in the south- does the milder weather help limit the amount of illness that circulates? Here in then north- the arguement is that everyone is indoors all winter- especially the kids in school- sharing germs and passing the sickies around and around. Any real truth in that??

Yep, a lot of truth in that............

We lock all those germs up with us and then wonder WHY we come down sick........

It's a beautiful 69 right now at 11:30 a.m. I find that my snowbird owner's on my property get sick on their flights down to Florida and they bring those nasty germs with them...

Like the experts tell us, best thing to do is keep the hands washed, wipe off door handles in your home & office to the best of your ability (don't forget the steering wheel on your car), and keep your fingers out of your nose & eyes...just keep washing the hands.

Now if only I could get my boys to stop kissing those girls! Just kidding- thankfully they are still in the "cootie" phase. The pink eye incident (so gross) was finally enough to get my 6 and 7 year olds to seriously wash their hands and not the usual- hey they are wet! I want them to be clean and healthy without turning them into little germaphobes.

First baseball practice is in 3 weeks- i cant wait!
