What I meant was when I input my info it says the "I must've made a mistake" bit....

I wish I at least had a "date" of when it would be in there!

It kept happening to me too, finally I broke down and called the IRS. I found out that it was because we paid our fees using our refund and ours would be a paper check mailed out on the 16th. Big bummer! Anyway, when I tried again this week it showed up, so maybe it has something to do with your ss number. Really if your worried just call them and ask, it put my mind to rest once I did.

That happen to me last week and on Monday it was fine. I think it only shows information if your stimulus has been processed.

We were all set to file last week! ( I mean paperwork signed dated and ready to send in!) I delayed it because these darn checks were supposed to be here 'early' Well I still show nothing on the irs website. I called the IRS.
Supposedly because I amended our income tax the very end of March to add an additional $10 dollars of interest income our stimulus could be delayed 8 weeks!!
I asked what would have happened if I just didnt do the amendment(form 1040x) The man said " for such a small amount it wouldnt have been picked up by the system"

You have got to be kidding me! here I wanted to be as honest as possible. It changed NOTHING on our income tax return. We had already received our refund in February and the amount was exactly the same.
So then I ask the dreaded question why will it take 8 weeks. He said Amended returns go into the computer and are taken care of AFTER original tax returns. I asked if he could flag my account that it was a really really really really really easy amendment and he was very nice saying even if he could it wouldnt matter no one would notice.
So I wonder what to do now? I still see no information on New York state trustees taking stimulus but then again I dont see any information on them not taking it either. I'll wait another week or so and then just do what needs to be done. If it wasnt so much money I wouldnt bother. Just feeling really disappointed right now

We also did direct deposit when we filed, but we had our fees for Taxact taken out of our refund. This means we went threw a third part, I have no idea what I am talking about, just what the IRS told me when I called. So now we are getting a paper check mailed out on May 16th. That really sucks for us because we are having work done on cars and house and that is what we are paying for it with. We can't file until we have spent ours down and now that will take longer since we are not getting it for another 1 1/2 weeks.

We filed with H & R Block and paid our fees upfront. Hubby thinks it's because H&R made an error and we had to file an amendment and the second payment we got from the IRS on the amendment was a paper check (first was direct deposit). I was mad at the girl at H&R Block for making the mistake back when it happened, if she's the reason we're getting a paper check for this too, I'll never go back to them again. Grrrrr!!!! We need that money to get our minivan's transmission fixed. Right now we are out our minivan and Hubby got rearended so his car is at the body shop! We're stuck with a Ford Focus rental car - family of 4, two special needs kids and all their "equipment" just does not fit in a Focus!!!

I did direct deposit this year and they still sent me a check ? Now I am guessing this package from the feds will come later for me. Any one else had this happen when filling their returns

I heard some people that weren't able to get info from the link last week, are able this week.

It didn't work for me last week or today, but tonight it says that we should have ours deposited on the 9th. Funny thing, though, I spoke with the IRS this morning and she said that it's already been deposited and rejected by our bank (we've changed accounts since our refund) and it's now showing we have a paper check dated May 19th that we should receive by the end of this week. Ya gotta love the consistancy!

Thanks for the heads up, it didn't work for me on Friday but worked this morning. Says ours will be ready May 16th but it does go on to say, "your check" so I'm guessing we're getting a mailed check? I'm not sure why since we did use direct deposit so who knows. It's just nice to have a time frame.

I wish it would have gone with our original schedule, but at least I know it will be here this week(only 1 week late).

I just checked:

"Your payment of $600.00 is scheduled to be deposited to your bank on May 9, 2008. If you do not receive the credit by May 14, 2008, please contact us again. We are unable to take any action until then."

My SS ends in 30. So it is going according to the original schedule after all.

I just checked, and it is showing up now with a deposit date of 5/16. The actual schedule dates, said we should've gotten it last week, since our last 2 digits is 06.
