I called the IRS today.

What number did you use to get through to them? I've called the 'contact us' number on the website and am redirected to the stimulus hot-line, but it's just a recording.

I know several people that have gotten their stimulus. And some were in the higher numbers and some weren't.

IMO, it will get here when it gets here. Life is way too short to be stressing over a stimulus check.

I'm not all to fired up about this stimulus package. I plan to sit on mine or roll it into the house repairs I"ve been working onto, probably half and half.

I just think it is a colossal mistake of our government to borrow more money it doesn't have and send it out to everyone. We will have to pay it back. Our government is overspending by about 20% across the board. It's time we realized that and either accepted we have to pay more taxes (which I don't want to do) or realize that the government can't afford all these entitlement programs, war, etc.

My co-worker received his rebate deposit today via direct deposit.

I called the IRS today. My ss ends in 05. She told me orginally scheduled for May 12 and now going in next Monday. So the IRS schedule is NOT accurate. LOL

And I was naive enough to believe that the IRS had done something right (ahead of schedule) for once! LOL

I work for a bank, and I have not seen or heard of anyone getting a direct deposit yet. I have taken tons of phone calls from customers wondering where they are.

Interesting. Seems working in a bank you would have noticed someone getting one.
