    Crazy Weather Today

We had really bad thunderstorms in my area this afternoon. Came home to find one of my trees struck by lighting. Thankfully it only fell on the mailbox!!

A week or two ago, it rained for three days. Where we live, none of it hit the ground. It evaporated before it hits the ground. We have been experiencing weather around 100 degrees. The news says we are below average. I like it hot so I am happy. We are able to grow carnations and hibiscus plants outdoors. A little bit different then the rest of the country.

Are you in the Loudon County area? I used to live in Dulles and lightening storms were amazing. Lightening seem to be worse in LO County than FFX County.

Same here in Northeast Ohio. The humidity is tropical too. We are supposed to have a nice liitle cool down after this evening (cold front approaching) and it's suppoded to be the upper 70's and low 80's for the remainder of the week. That will be refreshing.

7-8 months from now you folks back east and upper midwest will probably have 0/zero. with a wind chill factor of 30 below, and snow.
But the best thing, 7/8 months from now is that the shrub will be blown back into the sunset towards Texas.

It's partly cloudy and 66 today.

We normally have 265 sunny days a year.

I went to the beach Saturday because I saw it was supposed to be sunny vs. the usual June gloom. It was sunny, still not very warm though.

LOL Dang...I remember the Code Red days from the weather forecasts. Stay cool, and keep hydrated! It's interesting how it can get so hot in NoVa and it really not even really far south.
