yah. I was more or less expecting about 12 billion by 2030 simply based on the factual doubling of 3.5 bil to 6 bil in 40 years time & realizing it is a simple multiplication task.
I think the article is a little shy on the count & the possibility.
that is if we dont have a plague or half the people are destroyed by mass detruction of human bombs in war, plague or natural disaster.
will the world have enough resources (i.e. food and energy) to support rapid population growth??
JMO- from what I keep seeing, people themselves are being viewed as simple resources, (people & oil - the same thing) while that is a positive thing in human resources for employment, I am sure some mad scientists & politicians have figured that we can easily do without so many human resources & have a plan if things should get out of control.
A very Interesting topic to me

Reason: spelling
Talking about the plague, remeber the H5N1 flu virus which may mutate from animals to people?
I have had a few SARS and H5N1 scares. One night I was watching the News when they said don't eat chicken from this area (this was overseas in the Far East). The reason was, chickens were being culled. Instead of killing the chickens and then burying them, they decided to rush the process. They dug trenches and thru the chicken in live and then covered them over. After the people culling the chickens left, some good for nothing people would come and dig the chickens up and were selling them in this one area. I almost froze in my chair because I was in that area ( an area less then 1 square mile) and I had eaten the chicken.
Golden Jubilee was a year-long celebration held every 50 years in which all bondmen were freed, mortgaged lands were restored to the original owners, and land was left fallow: Lev. 25:8-17
Don't worry.... On the contrary, world population will be decreased, if not extinct soon, because of... wars + poverty + virus/disease + hurricane + storms + Tsunami + earthquake, etc..
