Hey, I am around but not as much as I used to be. Summer is a busy time for me with teenagers and hubby being deployed.

It is obvious you are busy with two teens in any case. However, your absence was noted. Mrs. and I also applaud your Hubby. Thank him for protecting us and U.S.

Protect? Can you tell me truthfully Hub that you felt your life in danger because of Saddam or "Al-Qaida" halfway around the world? Or is thanking someone in the armed services for "protecting" us and the US the habitual response. If anything, these soldiers are unkowningly helping to erode our freedoms at home. These soldiers are pawns for pre-meditated action against people all over the world. These are not wars to protect Americans but wars to protect the interests of big business and global manipulators who want to consolidate power to the exclusion of innocent people. Saddam, Bin Laden, Al Qaida are creations to scare people into servitude to the goverment. And they sucker people into serving with the phrase, "protecting freedom and democracy", and the whole country gets into a frenzy patriotism. Communism was used to scare people into servitude. Since its collapse, goverments had to get a new boogeyman and so its terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism. I like what writer Laurance Labadie wrote:

"Governments and the military purport to protect the public from enemies, and if there were no enemies they would have to invent some, for the simple purpose of rationalizing their existence..."

We help to materialize our slavery to the Global Elite by participating in their armies and fighting their wars. They dont give a crap about America or "freedom and demorcracy" only the misinformed ignorant masses get caught up into it. Bob Woodward has quoted Henry Kissinger as saying:

"'Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy".

Its time to wake up people. They dont care about us, lets return the sentiments......

Cali - I also thank your hubby - and his family as well!!!!

Welcome back Cali. How well I relate, today I have my 2 boys 11&13 and my 6 yr old Grandson. It's a very "fun Filled" day hahahahaha. They have been arguing for 2 days straight.

My cousin is headed back to her second deployment to Iraq. We will be taking on her "daughter" long story when she does. Anyway, I may not agree or disagree with this war, but I do understand a call of duty and I have nothing but complete and total respect for those who serve! My cousin is my age, 46, and could retire anytime, she is career Army, but she feels it's her duty to serve and I am proud of her for that, just as I am for all soliders who are serving in are armed forces. It doesn't keep me from praying this war will end soon and all our men and women will be back home.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and thank you and your DH for serving this country so well!

Ok rfassett. Fair enough. Can somebody redirect my post to the "Let talk religion" thread where I think it should be retitled Lets talk religion and politics thread. This way I can respoond in there without hijacking people's threads. My apologies.

I can't believe you just posted this in a thread to me.

So tell me how many days did you spend in the military? How many wars have you been in?

I was in the military for 8 yrs(which included 1 war), and have been a military wife for 17 yrs. I didn't join because I had to or didn't have any other way to make money. I joined the military with a Master's degree. My hubby also has a Master's and he loves his job. He could make more in the real world, but you know what he loves this country. And he puts his life in danger everyday, so some idiot like you can post spew like this.

You really need to find another hobby and stop obsessing over what you believe should or shouldn't be done. Life is too short not to enjoy it. And if life here is so bad, why haven't you moved?

                        Cali,

My Dad was in the Bay of Pigs, several friends and fellow students are in the Middle East and/or Japan now.

No matter what any idiot says I support and pray for all servicemen and women who protect, yes protect the freedoms that we have to post the nonsense that was posted in reply to your husbands serving his country.

As a committed Man of God I will say an extra prayer tonight for you and your family.

                        Best,
Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

Ok well I feel obliged to answer your questions. I been in the military 0 days. I have not been in any wars. I dont fight someone else's wars especially when its not a matter of life or death but for ulterior motives like the ones that I have mentioned. Im glad your hub loves his country because the ones that own it and control it do not. He doesnt put his life in danger because of me because he never knew me. And he is not over there to defend what I write on a messageboard. Thats just an absurdity. And always the argument that if life is so bad here then why dont I leave. Because I was born here. Nothing will ever change in this world if people would just pick up and go when they dont like the way things are. Just like the British loyalists who told the founding fathers to leave if they dont like to live under British rule. Now I would say that those men had more of an impact on my freedom than soldiers fighting a war for Halliburton, Big Oil industry, banksters, etc. Oh, and also about life is too short not to enjoy it; ask those innocent civilians in areas like Iraq and Afganistan with missing limbs because of the bombs that this country drops on them. Have you ever seen what a newborn baby looks like when his mother was exposed to a uranium depleted bomb that was detonated? They call them microwave babies for a reason. I stand by what I originally wrote because I believe we are fighting the wrong enemies. I love this country but I despise the people who control it.
