    Latest HSBC radio commercial

Anyone hear the latest HSBC commercial telling us all like we are stupid to save money?

"Don't spend money on things like coffee, make it at home, save $$ on bottled water, use tap, cancel an unused gym membership" (actually makes sense if it's not used), and a few other things.

Of course saving is important and my number one priority, but most of the above services are honest businesses and give us value for our dollar not to mention it's needed for the economy to prosper.

How much value does HSBC give between ATM fees, 29% cc interest rates, subprime mortgages and whatever other schemes they can come up with.

Nothing wrong with spending some money on the things you like as long as it's done with a spending plan. If the above items are purchased with an HSBC credit card or HSBC HELOC then no it's not good to buy these things.

Even dumber (TV) commercials are the ones from freecreditreport.com. One showing the guy dressed up in a pirate's outfit serving meals at a seafood restaurant. The other showing a guy driving out in a clunker, and a third one with him and his girlfriend living in a basement.

The guy in the clunker is one of my favorite commercials. My kids and I sing along with it everytime. Whoever created those commercials sure came up with a snappy tune! I know, beside the point but you gotta admit those 3 guys riding arounding in the clunker when the good looking girls pull up beside them is kinda funny!

it's not if the commercial is dumb, it's the fact that you remember the jingle. You won't forget "freecreditreport.com" when you think of obtaining one.
