['T'would help our finances if I cut those...]

When I've been in the SBs, I've had hot tea, not coffee. I've been more intersted in trying the tea blends.

Now some of our local food stores stock Starbuck coffee and I have had that now and again. They are pretty good, but I don't perceive any real difference between their blends and some of the other companies. Now, any specialty coffee blends are purchased on a BOGOF basis.

But Starbucks is having its own financial problems; about 2 months or so ago, I remember hearing that they are closing about half their stores.....
Yes, they are closing 600 stores and laying off thousands of workers (big story in CA)! We just have have too many starbucks here. There is 3 stores within a 1 mile radius of work! Grocery stores have SB in them, Targets have SB in them too...it's just ridiculious....
I guess I just *assumed* everyone has had a Starbucks....

Funny...I almost laughed when I read the question, "Has anyone been to a Starbucks before?"

To me, that's like asking if anyone has ever been to a movie theater before. I live in Florida and Starbucks are all over here. I thought that was pretty much the norm around the country, but I can see from reading some of the post replies that it isn't necessarily so. They have drive-thru Starbucks all over here, inside just about every Target store, and practically on every other street corner...ok...maybe that's just a slight exaggeration. But, I am a self-proclaimed Starbucks addict! I must have my mocha every few days because those caffeine-withdrawal headaches can be pretty fierce!

I started out liking Starbucks for their Frappucinos, but have since pretty much stayed with the regular mocha now. It's a hard habit to break!!

I need to address the coffee in gas stations and I am hoping that someone out there is as OCD as I am!!!

Did you ever wonder where the coffee pots in the gas stations, 7/11 stores, mini marts are washed?
These places don't have kitchens, so they wash them in the bathroom sink!

I know, I know, I am the epitome of OCD, but it is a disorder I have dealt with all my life, LOL.

Anyone ever see that tv show "Monk." I am the female version.

Most of the places around here have a sink behind the counter.

But you do know it kills the flavor of coffee to wash the pot, right?

Seriously, I worked in a grocery/deli years ago. The meat cutter swore up and down that washing the coffee pots with soap killed the flavor. He would grudgingly let us clean them with ice/salt mixture.

We have a Starbucks in every Dillons grocery store, every Target, and on every 2-3 blocks. They are always busy. Another one just opened down the road. Kansas loves coffee. LOL I like a place down the road from us called "Got Coffee?" They have good stuff and are a little less expensive. I got a Frappe earlier called Funky Monkey (chocolate and banana)!

SB is overrated. I Thought that when they first came in & still feel that way now that they are going out. I went to one SB while passing some time & never went back to another one.

I drank a good pot of coffee a day. all different kinds & flavors for a few years & then something happened a year ago that makes me violently ill when i drink coffee & stopped all together.

I am pretty well convinced that the caffeine stimulation is the only thing that keeps my heart pounding.
It just happens & then some cannot drink it any more. The coffee will let you know.
I could not figure out why I was so dizzy, vomitting & passing out...then realized it was coffee doing it & I got way better after stopping.
It was a bummer because I enjoyed the many flavors & types while the beverage was associated with mornings & doing certain things.

My wife loves Star Bucks chai tea. She gets the large size and it sits us back $4.16. So what I did was start making my own Star Bucks chai tea clone. Wife says it taste better then StarBucks.

I've been to Starbucks But I've always gotten a plain Americano-- never could afford the fancy stuff. You can even go to Starbucks on a budget. Frankly, some of the cheaper places are just as good. I go to small business local places and get big coffee drinks for cheaper. Even Scooters is cheaper and just as good. In the warm weather I love iced coffee too.
