I am not sure how much gas is at Costco here, I know locally it is 4.55/gal for me.

We have a special going at our Costco, as long as I buy 600 single roll toilet paper, and 84 2 liter Diet A&W Rootbeer bottles, I get $.05 off every 3rd gallon of gas on every 5th fill up, as long as it is between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, unless it is a leap year, then it is the 4th Monday of every other month, excluding major holidays in the US and Venezuela.

I don't use E-85 even though I can. You are correct the gas mileage goes way down, so except for a little bit more clean air, no benefit for me to use it.
getting so close to finally filing...

We have a Sam's Club membership. It wasn't as if we had a selection to choose from. I've never heard of BJ's. I think there's a Costco in Columbus, but I have no idea where. Sam's Club is only about 30-40 minutes away, so that's why I go there. I only make it there 2-3 x's each year.

We have a Sam's Club membership. I don't know what BJ's is either and Costco is too far away.

We only have a Sam's club anywhere near here that I know of. Even then, we have to drive an hour or so either way to get there. We go every few months, make a day of it with hitting the clearance racks at stores we don't normally have access to, like Target, OldNavy, Kohls. Then have lunch someplace we also don't get to go to, and then hit Sams for the things we know are cheaper and stock up pretty much as much as the back of the Jeep will hold. I went last weekend and spent $500 at Sams. But I won't need anything that I bought for 3-4 months, or even longer in some cases like energy saver light bulbs. And I will only have to pick up some meat and the fresh items for several weeks.
My gripe this last time was some of the things I really wanted badly because of the savings were unavailable in sugar free versions, namely my hazelnut creamer and the energy drinks I have been having every morning on the way to work. And they don't have goodvalue brand, so in some cases it is not cheaper to go to Sams, just have to know your prices before you go. I have a spread sheet with the most common items I buy on it so I know that
Sugar had gone up 2$ for the 50# bag over what I paid for it in June.
