    Hello New "guru's"

Welcome to the world of BK Guru's.........

The opinions, suggestions, and thoughts that we offer from our own experiences help newbies with moral support, calm their nerves, and help them decide if BK is right for them....

WE've been there and done that!! We know what they will go thru, their anxieties, questions, and concerns....

Sometimes we "agree", sometimes we don't... but we are are very careful that we don't give "advice" considered legal advice.

We just offer support, opinions, places to find information and forms, and our thoughts of what we experienced.

If one of us voices something that is not correct - it is swiftly corrected by another Guru, or a Moderator, and then WE ALL learn something new....

Welcome to all the new ones..............from another Guru...

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Howdy from another "guru". I prefer "lesser grand poobah" myself. Now that my mind is clearing hopefully I'll be able to share some insight. I think that once BK gets way behind you, you zone out for awhile, you don't want to lose touch but you just zone out. For me, the BK was crushing and I'm endeavoring to secure assets, not emphasing just that, but just building a life that is different from what lead up to the BK. I'm just tired of getting screwed by CC companies, cell phone contracts, INSURANCE RAPISTS (I'm in FLorida), Mortgage Companies and the like.

I spent another $450.00 today on my boys College Books and i did it cash. To hell with Student loans, credit and all the other hype that is forced on the common man. I paid cash for my root canal yesterday and will pay cash for the crown (copays, it's less than $500.00). I want to opt out of the whole debt system. It is rough to pay cash, but we save now, I never will pass that road again.

You will pass this road to Min, your light is showing at the end of the tunnel. You were unjustly abused by the system and any animal who would sieze a mobile home from a predominantly medical BK is subhuman in my book. There is a limit to which even a common beast should not go. That is why i get so angry with Pollyana BK'ers who talk about "their" Trustee in glowing terms. In truth I liken them to unwitting fifth columnists (they aren't really). In all honesty the Trustee should be a merciless bastard to do his job right, I understand it, but i still despise them. There is a special place in Hell for those who abuse those who were taking care of parents or spouses and are forced into BK, I am sure of it, otherwise there would not be enough justice on earth to repay that person.

I am very jealous of your children. My parents are 100% not supporting me in any way shape or form for my education, and I just took on a part time job (In addition to my full-time one) today, just to help me pay or the rest of schooling. (Can't get that piece of paper until it's paid for.) I am, however, paying in cash! No credit cards, no student loans, just a payment agreement with the school.

Tell your boys to count their blessings. Not all parents and family members are as generous!
BUSY running my own credit repair services! Sorry I don't stop in so often any more!

Your kids are very lucky. I supported myself - mostly thru loans, part of my problem right now.

TinRoof - I shared this in another post, something I learned AFTER graduation. Your degree department should offer specific scholarships for your degree, very few people actual apply for them - check it out!

He is working at a Mobil Station as of this week. He works PT (16 hrs), gives me the check, gets an allowance. It still won't cover even a quarter. The problem is his car Insurance (bought him a 10 year old used car about a month ago). Insurance for him ALONE down here is $333.00 per month, that's tacked on to my AIG Policy. That is the norm for an 18 year old male in South Fla. A friends son is paying a little over $4000.00 per year. That is minimum liability plus 100,000/300,000, not collision/comp. For all purposes gas is now 3.00 a gallon here.

In Florida you get raped for insurance for the house ($2000.00 per year, only covers reconstruction, that is all the insurance companies will cover here, they say my townhouse would cost 127,000.00 to replace, sells for 230,000.00, go figure). 187.00 bi-weekly for medical and now 555.00 a month for three autos. When I retire I'm outta' here forever, I never want to come back. It was nice years ago, that Florida is dead and will never return.

Oddly, he is going to be a CPA. He's been set on it for several years. That's why i determined to help him. I know he won't do what i did. My dad offered to pay but i decided to play, bad decision.
