I have a pretty open mind when it comes to music.....

Just off the top of my head:

90s alternative (Nirvana being my favorite)
90s local (Dallas) music. The Nixons, Tripping Daisy, The Toadies, Pantera (R.I.P Darrell) and some lesser known bands.
        90s dance/club music
        80s & early-mid 90s rap (can't stand that stuff from today)
        80s & 90s pop
        80s hair band/metal
Country as long as it is 80s and older (Love me some Mr. Cash)
Speaking of Johnny... Rockabilly (the older I get, the more I appreciate those guys and their music)
        Enigma
        60s & 70s classic rock
        Disco

Basically I like anything that isn't classical or jazz. I don't much care for most of today's music. More than likely it has something to do with being in my late 30s. I hear that is the age most people quit being 'up' on current music. Having said that, my secret shame is liking Gwen Steffani, Justin Timberlake, and I even like Brittany's new song, "Womanizer".

My husband on the other hand is pretty closed minded when it comes to music. We agree on alternative and Johnny Cash, other than that we are musically incompatible. Oh, except he thinks Bobby Brown, Culture Club, and Spandau (sp?) Ballet are musical geniuses.

Get out! LOL! I thought I was only one who remembers who they are. They were my favorite too. I saw them live (5th row IIRC) when they opened for Aerosmith. They were the only reason I went to that show (had seen Aerosmith a few years before). SK were unbelievable. I will never forget the energy in that arena when they were on stage.

I listened to their debut album so much that I wore out the first CD I bought.... had to buy a second. "Skid Row" was a great album, but IMO, "Slave to the Grind" was their best one. Shame it didn't get the attention it deserved.

Oh, and being female, I had a huge crush on Sebastian. At the time, I thought he was the most beautiful thing I ever sat eyes on. I was very into the hair bands too. If a band didn't have long hair, then they weren't worth my time. Oddly enough, my mother was into hair bands too. She went to more shows than me. Her favorite was Cinderella, and through unfortunate circumstances, she ended up becoming close friends with Tom Kiefer's mother and, to a lesser extent, his sister.

BTW, I hated NKOTB at the time, but now when I hear one of their songs, I kind of like it. Probably has to do with their music being popular at a happier time in my life.

I remember from back in the day knowing people who had met him. I don't think I ever heard anything negative about him. They all said that he was a really nice and humble guy, unlike so many of those band members with their egos & what-not.

EDIT: Wow I'm long winded sometimes.
