Well, the "Gene" is from my middle name and the nco is the abbreviation for "Gene and company" If I could get the "Manage Attatchments" thingy to work, I'd post the pics of my "Company"

Annika is 7-of-9 on Star Trek Voyager's birth name, and I thought it was pretty.

(Yeah, she's the Borg girl so many guys are/were nuts over! LOL!)

I'm really glad that you posted that. My mental image was of you living in a very old mobile home with rust all over it, including the roof.

I had pictured tin rather good looking because of her posts, I was right. She is very pretty and cute.

Annika, can you take a stab at which episode (two parter) without peaking on the 'net let Seven see her father as a Borg?

Her full name was Annika Hansen (not Hanson). Her parents ship was the Raven. She came aboard at the end of "Scorpion" and had been the Liason between the Borg and Voyager while trying to escape species 8472 who although they appeared malevolent were actually real decent but very advanced. "You started this war, not us" to the "lesser" humans and Borg.

(Dark Frontier Part 1 back in the good ol' days 1999, couldn't resist)

Sadly, Gerry Ryan has had marital problems party, so we here, due to her husbands odd desire to "share" her. I am not certain if she divorced or not.

Folks, it is not my business to tell you what to do but... back on the name issue. If you give yourself a negative name, every time you type it or look at it you may view yourself in that vein. You are not losers. What's in a name, an awful lot. Just ask any adult whose father or mother called him or her stupid every day. Not everyone is Bill Gates, but each of you has some good qualities or you wouldn't be smart enough to admit you need help in the BK process.

Reminds me of a story one pastor gave to his congregation one Sunday.

He'd gone to visit Japan and walking along some of the more colorful roads, saw a tattoo shop. One of the tattoos on the offerings board was "Born To Lose"

He asked the artist about it. The reply was:

"Before tatooed on body, must be tattooed in mind"

Then he launched into a very good talk about "Positive Thinking" (Now for me, I'm lucky to get a couple of ones a day out) and how someone could have had the crappiest life, but slowly, as the seasons change, they too, could "Untatto their minds" with depressing thoughts or visions of themselves.

I wish I had that sermon written down, lots of seemingly minor "Ideas" which would possibly prove useful to others...

My name is for the island in Florida where I built my home and my children were born. I didn't go with a negative name as bankruptcy is the last mess for me to clear up from my days of substance abuse. I knew the credit card bills were going to catch up with me sooner or later but I also knew I had to take care of me getting through the darkness and back into the light. I did everything that was asked of me to correct my mistakes. I didn't get any rehab, I've actually done it on my own but not being an addict, it was different for me. I've been employed since last November, in the same job with the same company and will be getting a raise the end of February.

I'm not happy about the possibility that my 4Runner will be taken away...but maybe it's the last piece to the puzzle. I don't know how long it will take before they come out & do the appraisal on it. I've heard nothing and pacer only says that 2/29 is the last day for objections to the creditor thing...my mom is still on the title as a lienholder but we have no written documentation other than that...I'd hope that when they take it, they'll give me the $1K FL exemption check but I don't know if that will happen either...the waiting is killing me.

But, I thank god that I wake up everyday and have a job to go to that brings me a paycheck. I'm not in jail or prison or have any warrants. I have no felonies, that's a plus too, especially here in Florida. Never been arrested for drugs, another plus. So, with all systems go, I can support myself. This is just a time for rebuilding.

I was very happy to find this site and become more aware of what the bankrupcty process is really like. Thank you!

Amis, that is good news. I wish you all the best. I smoked my share of pot in the day also, nothing else though. That was twenty-odd years ago. I probably can't identify in that way but we all have our weaknesses and I've got mine. Mine have always tended toward money and time management. I'm getting that under control, but spending to much time here. Making money has never been an issue in my life, just managing.

One great and bad thing Amis is that we live in Florida. We get hammered in many ways but the State offers some great benefits to those who tow the line. You said you have kids, don't forget about Bright Futures. Make sure that they keep the GPA's up, especially in high school and Four year College is 100% free. My oldest dropped the ball in 9th grade (High School in Florida). His AP classes and 3.73 in 12th were not enough to pull out of his mistakes. He and ME are learning the hard way. PAYING. The other two learned his lesson and are way over the 3.0 mark for ninthn and tenth. They have both been told that if they choose not to get a 3.0 or above that they must learn to say "where is the bathroom" and "do you have any bottled water" in Farsi or whatever tongue is spoken in Iraq. They have also been told that should they choose the wrong path it will not be necessary for them to learn "Anchors Away" or "Off We Go" but will need to learn "The Caisson Song" or "The Marine Hymn". So much for consequences.
