I don't think you really intend to sound the way you come off.

I still haven't figured out what your deal is, anyway. You obviously have the world by the tail and don't have any financial problems, so what brought you here?
Are you here just to "slum" and "gloat" and throw your knoweledgable "weight" around?
Because for the life of me I can't figure you out.

Totally great post PinkTiger. I agree wholeheartedly.

Stacy- take this opportunity, and follow the rainbow to the end! I sincerely wish you the best of luck!

      OKAY FOLKS - BE NICE!!!!

Lightening - Yes, I agree on the savings things - you never know what the future holds..
You need a nest egg (six months worth) for emergencies, and a next egg for retirement, and a nest egg for vacations... That way you don't use available savings funds up for other things.....

Stacy - Good luck on going permanent on the job. Jobs do feel "more secure" when they are permanent with benefits...

        Email today from my boss:

        "Staci,

I want to THANK YOU so much for all of your hard work. I really, really appreciate you. "

I'll take this as a good sign.

          Hope you stay permanent.

Me too-I have no reason to think I won't. (The logical part of me says it makes more sense to keep me than to bring in someone and start all over.) Its nice when people do those little things to let you know that you're appreciated.

I have to be here 13 weeks as a temp before they can hire me (otherwise they'll pay a big fee) and today is the end of my 10th week. So technically, I'm not eligible yet-but they have to offer me the job & discuss pay, do paperwork, etc. so I think they should say something soon! I imagine there is pre-hire paperwork, drug test, etc. that needs to be done. (Not that its an issue, but it takes time-right?)

Each week when the manager signs my time sheet, she signs 'continue assignment' at least, LOL. Sometimes we have to be content with what we have even though we want more...

Edited to add: I've been assigned 2 more properties!
