    Howdy folks

Well, its been six days stuck in the house. My back gave out last Friday along with a pulled muscle. I have had a herniated disc for years. It does its number every so often but I won't give the problem any glory by over talking about it. I feel 6 billion percent better today and am not crawling on the floor. Thank God for the amazing world of Prescription Muscle Relaxers and for the first nites "happy pills"!!!!!!!

I am off tuesday/wednesday so Thursday I will be back at work and am missing an obscene amount of OT. I hate this sitting at home business and really would rather be fixing trains. If you ever loved electric trains you'd understand it.

One good thing, I watched season one (and only) of Firefly on DVD. Of course that's also what is driving me mad, laying on the sofa and such. I have also seen Braveheart again, the first six hundred thirty seven times weren't enough. Amazing, who remembers waiting for The Wizard of Oz, The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, The War of the Worlds and Spartacus to come on once a year back in the sixties and seventies?! Our kids can't fathom a world without the ability to immediately see any movie you want.

Oh well, hope everyone is ok, I'm just bored to death!

I'm thinking of dumping my Speed Racer Avatar for a new one also. i've really gotta' use MS Words spell check, won't have to "edit" so much!

        Robivi3,
Sorry about your back - that's the luck!!! My brother has very bad back problems - many surgeries - lots of meds.... He's in pain a lot.. You have my sympathy...
Arthur, Brut, and all them "ritious" boys have made their annual visit to my house with the weathr change. Some morning you don't get up, you just "fall out"..... Thanks to new meds it's a lot better to deal with....
Your "vacation" has lasted long enough now - "get back on track" - like the pun???

        Glad to hear from you,

Nope, back in business today. Off the muscle relaxers, I'll tell ya' though, when you get well into your 40's a pulled back or stomach muscle just affects everything else especially a herniated disc. That's it for most heavy lifting though. This happened about ten years ago also, I was out of commission for one month. I don't know how regular employers handle this issue, it's not to much of a problem where I work. They place alot of demands on us when present but when sick the place is fairly forgiving plus we never lose accrued sick time. The only thing with us is that more than three days requires a doctors note.

Min, tell the "ritious" boys they have to leave!

Thanks for all the good wishes...
