    Not only sneaky, but FRAUDULENT!!

    OK, chapter 2.

I check my checking account...I know I'll be negative, but I get paid this week..Huh? $21.95?? For what? I never authorized such a charge...

Odd thing, there's a phone number for them..so I call. "Welcome to MedPlus/Go Debit Card usa/Roadside Assistance..Our offices are closed right now..."

So, I do a web search on them using the number...Low and behild, if you apply for a payday loan, they also try and stick you with this roadside assistance BS. Not too mention, many are reporting this to the IFCC as I have done this morning.

I KNOW I checked EVERY line I filled out and there was no such offer, nor requirement for this loan or the loans.

Now I know that paying them off is good, but I also have to change checking accounts as I'm sure they'll still be out there and looking to try and scam me again...

Already called the bank and reported this false charge. They're taking care of it..Should be 3-4 days..I think I need a faster responding bank....

So, if you're toying with the idea of using a online payday loan company...DON'TDON'TDON'TDON'T

See, now I know why I never do those things....I have a hard time paying someone to give me my own money ...and how they stick you with all the little 'extras'. Everyone I know who has ever done a payday loan..always winds up extending it, and roling it over..and soon you owe more than if you just would have waited in the first place.

good luck getting it all cleared up!!

Yes, The IFCC got my complaint..There's LOADS of people scammed like this.

Now, here's a laugher (Well, to me at least)

The $21.95 charge was reversed..BUT the bank charged me a NSF FEE!!!

I called them up and they took the charge off (And the CS rep was saying under breath "What a bunch of idiots") and so I am finished with that...But probably will change my checking account anyway...

        Sheesh!

I read something a few months ago where some politicians in GA are trying to get laws in place to limit pawn shops & payday loan places regarding the APR they can charge. Of course, there is probably more $$ behind the politicians that oppose change...

I wouldn't be surprised...Oregon allows "Title loans" but WA doesn't...However, they both allow payday loans..Strange..

I did a payday loan once, about 1.5 years ago. It was VERY embarassing but the folks charged a straight fee and it was real simple. Florida law may be different.

Or maybe you dealt with a company that realized they could make money & still be decent to their customers. (Would probably have more customers that way!) What are the odds?

I see ads for the payday loan places in the little circulars that come in junk mail, or little magazines that are just advertisements in the grocery stores. (The ones that have ads for the businesses in the neighborhood, like home repair services/products, local restaurant coupons, etc.)

If they spelled everything out instead of me finding it out afterward, I'd be singing their praise, but now with everything that has occurred, I'd be happy to see those scum go down the toliet...I'd even be glad to help in plunging to make sure!
