Lightning was very rude and judgemental in his posts originally, though I have not seen that in his messages for the past month or so. Even so, there are several posters that strike out at Lightning anytime he posts a response these days. He could post that 2+2=4 and there would be people to argue with him.
I'm NOT saying Lightning is innocent-he started off REALLY BADLY and several still have significant issues with him. But, rather than attacking him when he posts, choose not to respond to him. Or, debate-rather than attacking him-if you disagree with his advice/comments. Firing insults and accusation at him because you don't like him posting here does nothing to help the people that are posting questions and looking for feedback/information.Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

The difference, though, is that poster had an issue with a post you made and they took it to mean that you were trying to start trouble in saying that people who filed at the last minute brought it on themselves. They took issue with what you posted, not AT YOU for posting.

Well I was under attack once already from some NEWBIE in my own thread!!
Someone who was a lurker, maybe even a troll..
She has stated that she registered to start with me, HOW SAD!!....LOLMost of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. Well, this was the intent of my posting..in the first and second edition. In simple form, I am "ignoring" the said poster now and always. Thus, anything he says will have no effect and if anyone cares to quote and I read it, then I will ponder any and all responses.
However, I don't "Mind" he's here, but I really think a bit of empathy, understanding and tolerance would go a long way. Maybe one day, but until then, I'll not suffer him or his words.

Well Frankly my Dear (sir or maam), I don't give a D@*n!!!!!!!
I agreed with Lightening when I thought he was right
and disagreed loudly
when I though he was coming off as a big bully.
Bankruptcy is a sensitive subject to everyone here, whether you are filing yourself or have filed against. (i have been on both sides)
I recall a post where he was whining about being chastised recently. I joinedthis post to gain info, insight, share the joys, the frustrations and the empathy of being in this process and to try and find out what I can do differently with my finances. I have learned alot here, hope to continue to be able to learn more in the future. The world is full of lightening's. Again, I don't mind admitting when I am wrong, but I don't remember a few others here at least having the decency to apologize when they offended someone. All of us here have made and will make bad choices in the future, not intentionally, but bad choices all the same. I have enjoyed this post, the different responses and the rest of the threads, I, myself will try and not be so defensive in my remarks, on my good days anyway.
I'd say more but Todd doesn't need to kick me off.
