Just came off a double, four hours sleep, going back now so I may not be coherent. Lose weight, can't lose ugliness. More excercise. Trying to max out the OT for retirement right now.
Been that kind of year, you guys have been an extra family. My hours and days off have been wiered which explains numerous and odd houred posts. The pay yes, is high but the trade off has been years of worked holidays, working during hurricanes (I ended that last year) and increased back problems. On the other hand our sick leave policy is beyond liberal and our Annual leave policy and use of holiday time has been also. I'm up to 6 weeks Annual time per year now, you never lose sick, annual or accrued holiday time from year to year and have to be paid for every hour when you leave. On the other hand, the lack of parts and age of the Train cars is frustrating to anyone who tries to perform his job, there is nothing to compensate for that except a chill pill, I have difficulty with chill pills.
I long for Tennessee, the Cumberland Plateau has some of the highest air quality in America, we are among the worst here. I long for fireflies, crickets, mountains, winding roads that go to no particular place AND SCENERY!
This has been a "rainy year" in the blessing sense. We have certainly had our rains in due season and i am glad for that, my finances have changed and we are happier for it. Stay out of debt, everyone cease looking for jewelers, department stores and other entities that will entice you to spend. One VISA or MC only. Try to use your check card for online stuff. Work two jobs if you must. I worked at Sears Auto Center in Hollywood Florida until 1992 20 hours per week, it was a good part time job and helped put food on the table while my wife stayed home with the boys who were goofy little runts then. I am in a diifferent position now but boy were we struggling in those days! Then Andrew hit and Uncle Sam dumped a truckload of dough into Dade County! I quit Sears that month.
Oh well, gotta fly now. Happy New Years if i don't post tonight, gotta work tomorrow, mandatory!
