    Cheapest auto insurance company?

I'm just wondering who/what's the cheapest insurance company for your car is. By cheapest I mean lowest. My car insurance premium keeps going up year after year even though I have good driving record.

Anyone care to share some info?

I've used AAA for years now and my rates have actually decreased a little. Not sure if that's industry or just my experience with them.

Is there any specific requirement with AAA or anyone can join? Am I confusing AAA with AARP here? Right now I just need to keep all of my expenses down.

Anyone can join, not AARP. You have a yearly membership fee, but easily offsets via discounts at multiple retailers, restaurants ,travel, etc. Look them up. www.aaa.com

Not sure it will be the cheapest for you, but it is for me. I comparison shop for auto insurance every year...still with them after 8 years.

Hi lucky7, welcome to the forum. First off, yes, posting on this specifc thread that talks about auto insurance will get you, well, auto insurance. You will be better off posting in one of the bankruptcy specific categories, such as Chapter 7 or Chapter 13.

Now for specifcs. I presume that you are attempting to qualify for a 7, is that correct?

What are your specifics, state, income, etc? There's a wealth of information here and many of us happy to help, but some details are always needed.

Hi Lucky7 and welcome to the forum.

Yes, you can post anywhere you want (not really, if your post is off target or purpose, it will be moved) but at least posting in this thread is fine. If you're looking for some sort of affordable insurance, you're in the right place, as ccsjoe said

Speaking of being turned down by a lawyer, specifically bk lawyer, then I'm the one. The first one I consulted with was pretty high priced ($3K) and he turned me down. He said that I should get rid of the car I currently have and save some more $$ and then visit him again. I then turned to find another one and this one saved me $1,200!

You should always look and consult for the one that best fits to your need.

I tried and their monthly premium is actually $27 more than my current policy though. I'll keep looking. Thanks for your suggestion.

I'm worried what my auto insurance is going to be post BK. I've heard that it will most likely go up.

Really? Then I'm probably screwed. Are they really checking credit reports too?

They check a certain version of credit reports, but yes, your bk will show up. So will mine. I'm hoping to see if I can pay up front and not trigger financing when the time comes to see if that'll make a difference.
