Warnings! Being Banned!

A short note on my policy of warning and banning members for their behavior or word content in thier threads and postings.

Members can be warned or banned temporarily or be permanently banned for the following reasons:

soliciting
advertising
foul language
racial slurs
inciting verbal conflict
sexual content
religious slurs
extremely rude remarks
etc.................

If someone has offended you, contact a Moderator..... and voice your conflict and with whom you are having a problem with.....

The Moderators will deal with the "issue" as they see fit, either temporily or permanently. Often permanent bans are discussed among the Moderators before being done...

Since we are a forum of many nationalities, races, cultures, origins, and sexual preferences, we do not let threads regarding these issues get out of hand.....

EVERYONE AS INDIVIDUALS on this forum is entitled to their opinion within reason....

When it becomes OFFENSIVE, EXTREMELY RUDE, OR HARRASSING to another member, warnings will be issued, then banning from site if necessary to solve the problem.

This forum is made up of ADULTS (I hope)..... with a great deal of wisdom, knowledge, foresight, and experience in many fields....

What one member doesn't know, another does!! All information to donate that everyone can learn from....

Do not "fringe" on the rights of others as you make your statements, but also
remember that this is not the place to voice your opinon about your personal preferences in life! EACH TO HIS OWN!!

We discuss many things on this forum, family, friends, work, medical issues, wedding/party plans, places of travel, etc..... Many of us know how many kids each of us has, what type of work we do, married or single, our future goals in life......

These discussions help break the "grip" that bankruptcy has on us as individuals and our trying to deal with it everyday, and what our families are going thru during the process.... That's why we have the "General Talk" section on this forum. Bankruptcy touches our lives in sooooooo many ways besides financially.....

Ours is a support forum and hopefully a forum of knowledge about bankruptcy, going thru bankruptcy, and living life after bankruptcy.

Treat other members with the same respect and courtsey that you would want in return.

We are not interested in your nude pictures (or almost nude), your sexual statements or preferences, or your attitude of "nobody knows anything BUT YOU"!

ON THIS FORUM-----
KEEP IT COOL (because tempers flare during bankrutpcy process)
KEEP IT CLEAN (because I don't want to have to ban folks)
KEEP IT FUN (because laughter is healthy and relaxing)
KEEP IT INFORMATIVE (because we all need the knowledge)
KEEP IT SUPPORTIVE (because no one needs to experience bankruptcy alone.

Notice to all members: Do to the recent influx of trolls registering to simply harrass members, and the BF "forum" as a whole. We will begin reporting continued harrassment to the authorities. By those of you who continue harrassing members/BF Forum after being WARNED by Moderators/Administrators to STOP.

This also goes to members that simply continue registering a new username, after one or more have been banned, for repeated harrassment offenses. All user IP addresses are being logged, and will be forwarded to local/federal authorities for investigation! Please understand that electronic harrassment is a crime! And that you ARE NOT AS ANONYMOUS AS YOU THINK!!!

BF (Bankruptcy Forum) will not tolerate the harrassment of its members, nor will it tolerate the harrassment of the forums as a whole.

Thanks for your suggestions! However, we respect the privacy of our members, and do not have any plans on making thier IP addresses visable to everyone. Right now they are only visable to Mod/Admin.

To address your concerns about the quality of this site: As I stated we have recently been experiencing an influx of trolls and inappropriate behavior. I cal this post BK reform behavior. The Admin/Mod staff have personal lives, and cannot be available to babysit 24/7. We are however, in the process of increasing our staff...because of the influx of trolls etc. However, in the interim, simply report posts that violate forum rules.

Apologies, that was not my intention. The suggestion was a simple button or text alert within each post alluding to the fact that IPs are logged. But that boils down to logistics. The more important fact is that order is being restored. I will hence continue to browse and collect valuable knowledge. Thank you for your valuable resource - this site.

As you know we have had continous problems lately with Trolls and all Mods are trying to get this under control.

Please bear with us during this time.....
