    When Do They Freeze?

A freeze on accounts that happens after a garnishment right? If they freeze an account do you know its coming? Like hearings and etc..or do you just go to the bank one day and you dont have access?

Dont even get me started on the homeland security..etc. Liberty is being erroded every day not just here in the USA but all around the world..is there any where free of big brother these days?

Garnishments are handled different in different States. Depends on what State you live in whether the Creditor will have to Sue first or just serve a notice on you.

I recently was employeed at TCF, and what it sounded like to me was possibly is the bank does watch all accounts and if large amounts are going in and going back out quickly, they sometimes assume fraud so they will freeze the account to "try" to keep members safe. Your father should be able to call the bank and they can tell him why his account was frozen.
